Great points, Larissa. I too am not a fan of academics who live in a glass or ivory tower.

Which is why for the last 15 years I have worked in community organizing, event management, sales, restaurants, and even retail before pursuing a career in academia. Even while in the academy, I’m still doing on the ground projects. That is not my beef w/JP.

Saying he is financially motivated is a simplification of what I am humbly stating. My argument, is that Peterson now no longer cares about academia because he prefers lecturing to his eco chamber and not a diverse group of thinkers.
