Agree to disagree. I’ve taken the time to examine the faculties in several departments. Diversity is needed. Take the faculty of law at U of C for example. There is a picture of every student who ever graduated in a hallway on the second floor. Not one Black male has graduated from the faculty of law, and less than 20 Black students (all of whom were women).
Black men are over represented in prison, but under represented in education. The stats should be mirroring if it actually fizzled out in a way that match the demographics. It’s no coincidence now that U of C’s faculty of law has now factored race in admissions especially for Black people.
Canadian universities need to become more diverse as the faculty and administrative level, as well as its student body. Thanks for reading and engaging.
